From vivid orange, to mellow blue-green, to misty, dusky late-night hues — all inspired by the many faces of the majestic sea. Explore the ever-changing faces of the summer ocean. The sunset reflecting off the water’s surface; wild waves crashing onto the sand; the night sky settling over the ocean, turning it a deep, inky black. The bezel and band are patterned in ocean waves with a special multicolor molding process that blends resins of different hues to create unique color presentations. Whether out on the town or relaxing at an ocean resort, this is the G-SHOCK line to complete your summer style.
G-SHOCK was born from a single belief that there could be a watch that would not break. Formed to handle its development, Project Team Tough constructed over 200 prototypes for performance testing and spent over two years developing the structure and improving the parts. An unimaginable process of trial and error was repeated continuously until 1983, when the shock-resistant structure that is still G-SHOCK’s core technology was finally completed. Four years later, the G-SHOCK DW-5600 was introduced. The G-SHOCK DW-5600 series is described as the final model to feature a full metal case and screw-back.
